Tl;dr: just give us a heads up!

The main consequence of leaving the program is that you will not be able to claim you’ve completed SPAR, and you will not receive a certificate of completion.

If you let both your mentor and SPAR staff know in advance you’ll be leaving, and you don’t drop any important commitments you’ve made, we’ll be happy to consider your application again in future rounds.

However, dropping out without communicating with us or your mentor can be disruptive to your team and may count against you on future SPAR applications. We may also share this context with other programs that reach out to us for a reference on you.
