About Us

Kairos is a nonprofit, funded by Coefficient Giving, whose mission is to help society navigate the transition to transformative AI. We run a portfolio of projects, mainly focused on supporting talent pipelines and helping people transition to working in the field.

In addition to SPAR, we run:

• The Pathfinder Fellowship, which provides mentorship, funding, and other resources to organizers of AI safety university student groups.
• The Global Challenges Project, 3.5-day workshops for participants to think critically about AI safety and biosecurity and the impact they can have in these spaces.
• The Generator Residency, an in-person residency program for early-career AI safety talent, run jointly with Constellation in Berkeley. </aside>
